Conor founded Woods and Partners having spent 7 years as an International Audit Partner in a large firm in Ireland. Previous to that Conor was audit senior and manager at KPMG.
Conor also has industrial experience, having spent two years with Kingspan Group PLC.
Conor sits on the Strategy Development Board of Chartered Accountants Ireland, and is the first Chairman of the Charities Regulatory Authority. Conor is also Chairman of Chartered Accountants Ireland Audit and Not-for-profit Committee. Conor lectures with the Arthur Guinness Fund in the areas of Corporate Governance, Risk Management and the Charities Act.
In 2010, Conor completed the IFRS Diploma with Chartered Accountants Ireland with distinction, and has recently completed courses on FRS102, the new GAAP that will prevail in Ireland and UK from 2015 onwards.
Conor has extensive experience with mid size corporates, and has worked with the IDA extensively on Foreign Direct Investment coming into Ireland.
Conor graduated from DCU in 1995 with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999.
Conor enjoys to play golf in Headfort Golf Club, where he is a member, and is an active member of Carnaross GFC. Conor also cycles regularly and is married and has three small children.
